Oregon Minimum Wage Hike July 1 Alters Affordable Rents
The Oregon Housing Blog reports that as of July 1, there are upcoming rent changes allowed under Oregon’s new minimum wage.
- Rents for
full-time minimum wages will increase from $26-$52 per month depending on
the area within the state. - Within the City of Portland, the highest full-time minimum
wage affordable rent is $1,023 at 40% of income rent standard or $767 using the
30% of income standard. - For urban areas the lowest affordable rent is $650.
