Portland Bureau of Development Services Proposing Increased Fees Due to Low Construction Activity
Portland’s Bueau of Development Services (BDS) is looking to increase Land Use Services Division fees by an average of 5%. The increase is a result of a slowdown in construction activity and increased operating expenses. According to BDS Senior Business Operations Manager Elshad Hajiyev, “Specifically, the decline (is) in large multifamily construction.” The City Council plans to hold a second reading on the proposal February 27th.
