Sarah Cowley specializes in affordable multifamily investment sales, bringing a unique perspective shaped by nearly two decades of experience in both operations and asset management.
Her experience spans the full lifecycle of commercial assets, including underwriting and loan servicing, working through distressed and foreclosure scenarios, and executing lease-ups, value-add rehabs, and dispositions across commercial, student housing, affordable, and market-rate communities.
Sarah began her career onsite, working her way from leasing agent to assistant manager and property manager before transitioning into asset management roles across both commercial and affordable housing. Over the course of her career, she has been involved in the oversight of more than 9,000 multifamily units, including her role as Director of Affordable Housing, where she managed more than 4,400 units, and later as Vice President of Multifamily, where she led operations across multiple states.
Her depth of experience in LIHTC, HUD, and other affordable housing programs allows her to advise clients on both the operational realities and financial strategies that drive long-term asset performance. Sarah is known for her ability to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and position assets to meet both investor and mission-driven goals.
Sarah holds the Asset Management Specialist (AMS) designation from the Consortium for Housing and Asset Management and is a member of the GREA National Affordable Housing Team, a specialized platform of brokers executing affordable and workforce housing transactions across the country.
